typed words are appearing backwards

I have a laptop and recently loaded a bunch of music into the media center.
It copied everything from My Documents. I started deleting everything that
wasn't a music file until I read the entire question which asked if I wanted
to delete this from my "PC". I thought it was deleting from the media folder
with the music. I've had trouble since then. Maybe this is related. When I
type on the keyboard it appears backwards if I type "Kate" it shows up
"etak". The letters are not backwards, just the words. I've managed to get
good at typing backwards but it's time to fix it. Any thoughts?
Thanks - Kate

Unfortunately, i dont think that is a PC problem, it sounds like your
keyboard controller has gone, not that its any help but try plugging a USB
keyboard into the laptop, you could use that until you find an alternative
solution.

Sorry Kate, Just try this first - uninstall the drivers for the keyboard,
reboot and let it reinstall itself. May be ok

You asked this identical question in another newsgroup and got a lot of
answers. You should find that thread and make responses to the suggestions
there. Use Google Groups Advanced Search and search for your name in the
microsoft.public.* newsgroups.

One of the suggestions was that you had some sort of Arabic/Hebrew language
pack or program installed. None of this has anything to do with your music.

Have you tried a system restore to a date prior to this happening?
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore

No keystrokes involved.

Kate: Have you gone to the Control Panel, then "regional and language" then the Language tab, then
"details" to see if your keyboard is still set to "your language"? The Hebrew and Arabic languages
do type right to left.
If nothing else, set it to another language and then back to English to see if that fixes it.
