Two Words

Jorge

I have Word 2000 with 98SE which works fine.

And I have Word2002 with a Toshiba laptop on XP, which is giving me lots of
problems.

Is it possible to have the TWO versions on the XP?

Or I lose the 2002 when I install the 2000?

Thanks

Thanks John

But out of curiosity why are you using so many different types of Word?

I want to load both so that I am sure all is well with 2000 before getting
rid of 2002.

Are you having problems with 2002?

It takes ages to load and aften crashes and creates new normal. files

Hi Jorge

I am not having any real problems with Word2002 - though I
dislike many of the so-called "Wizards".

I write a lot of quite complex macros and have clients
using many versions of Word - hence my need to keep them
on my computer/s.

It is amazing how many things are not backwardly
compatible. As an example pasting in Word2002 produces

Selection.PasteAndFormat (wdPasteDefault)

which will crash in Word2000

Often I find it easier to go right back to WordBasic in
Word95 to find the way into VBA

Regards

John
