two networks

P

Pierre Timmermans

I have got two networks. One a 10/100T based TCP/IP (DHCP enabled) network
and one wireless (11 Mbps, TCP/IP, DHCP enabled) with an access point/router
of Alcatel for my ADSL. There are different computers in both networks. On
my XP machine both networks are active. However when I try to reach Internet
or e-mail (with both networks enabled) I got a time out because my computer
doesn't know which network to use. When I disable the 10/100T network it all
works fine.

A couple weeks ago it all worked fine with both networks enabled, but
installing and de-installing drivers and cards changed it.

Can anybody tell me how to fixe this problem?

Kind Regards

Do you have default gateways on each NIC? If so choose the NIC you want to
use to connect to the Internet through and remove the default gateway from
the other NIC.
