two laptops... share one laptop monitor

OK... So I have two laptops which I need to use at the same time. My
question/problem is as follows:

Primary Laptop: HP Pavilion DV6275us (Vista OS)

Secondary Lapop: Sony Vaio VGN-A190 (XP OS sp2)

Initial Problem: Secondary comp sustained electro-static damage to touchpad
resulting in instant loss of moniter every time the touchpad is used, as well
as blacking out upon startup, and the occassional random black out. Requires
my closing the lid and slowly re-opening until the LCD Display stabilizes.
(must not touch mouse)

I use both AutoCAD 2007 and Solidworks 2007 which conflict with the primary
OS. Thanks Microsoft!! Anyhow, need to run the software on secondary laptop,
which is successful, yet I keep losing the screen. The computer works
flawlessly, but the moniter is unreliable at this time. Have been using
wireless, external mouse successfully to this point.

Would like to know if it is possible to use the primary laptop as a
"monitor" for the secondary comp. Export the live display from the secondary
and view it on primary. But also, simultaneously running primary for other
applications. Would like to be able to switch between the two comps while
viewing the primary computer.

Example: While viewing desktop on primary, push a button, and instantly
change display to show secondary computer desktop or currently running apps.
And then back again.

Laptops are on a wireless network. External monitor is not an option...no
money!

There ya go guys! have at it!!

Google up VNC (Virtual Network Computing) - it even allows you to work on a
Mac from a PC.

Any reason you don't open the laptop case and disconnect the broken
touchpad connector?

lol... Not quite up to par in regards to comp dismantling! Just got the
schematics for it. Might give a rip at it! I guess it would help to isolate
the parts effecting the comp... hmm. Thanks Bob.
