I checked the wrong box somewhere and now I can not get to
anything. The Control panel does not show up in the start
items, I can not get to remove programs to remove it, I
can not run tweekui. nothing . Help.

What OS are you running? do you recall what you were doing before it
stopped working? Do you have Administrator rights on the machine?

If you right click the taskbar and select properties, click Start Menu (
assuming XP ) click customize, and then select the advanced tab, you should
see a list of items. One of these items Is for the Control Panel. Select
Display as a menu ( or link if you prefer and click OK )

Running 2000 server.
Control Panel does not show up.
I do have admin privs.

If you create another Admin account, does it show up there? Can you launch
the Control Panel item by name? I.E. Tweakui.cpl. This file should be
located in %WinDir%\System32\
