.htm icon help

Wondering if someone here can give me some advice or have been in the
same/similar situation. Can't pinpoint anything that has changed in my set-
up recently, only thing is i cloned my entire set-up onto a new larger HD
but as everything else seems fine i don't think that it is related.

Anyway. The Problem is that i can not get XP to give the htm/html file type
an icon. Used to be fine with the relevant icon when associated with
IE/Firefox but this past week started just having a blank icon. Tried the
rebuild icon tool in TweekUI, tried deleting the iconcache.db files in the
documents and settings folder, tried deleting the file types and recreating
them, though now has changed to the default 'no icon' icon, small image of
a window with red/green files in it.

new just now is that associating a htm file with IE gives the IE icon but
the file opened as a text document

Many thanks for your help, seems to have done the trick. although i've been
trying to change the icon through the folder for a while using:

tools>folder options>file types

looks like the same menu using your method but has worked this time

thanks
