Tweak ui long directory name problems

I have tweak ui installed. I have a problem with the commaon dialogs - place
bar.
I have a folder that the path is to long. Is there a work around to allow
longer path names?

Create the environment variable "MyPath" and assign that long path. Next,
enter "%MyPath%" (w/o quotes) in TweakUI > Common Dialogs > Places Bar.
 
Is there a work around to allow longer path names?

The limitation is only for the 1st text box in TweakUI. The remaining 4 controls seems to allow longer paths.

SFAIAK you are allowed 255 characters! Isn't that enough?

Can't you reorganise so that the file path is not so long?
