Tweak UI and document history

Hi all,

I was playing around with Tweak UI yesterday, and have changed a setting.
Due to this change my history of documents in Word (Office 2003) is not
available any more. The 'Last used files' in my options (sorry, I use a Dutch
version of Office) is grayed out. So I can not set it. And I use the history
of documents in my Office documents often.

Does anyone know what I need to do to get my document history back in
Office? What do I need to resent in Tweak UI to get the history back?

In Word select Tools, Options, General tab and check Recent Used File
List.

Hope this helps.

In TweakUI, click "Explorer"
Place a checkmark near "Maintain document history"
Click OK.

Hi Ramesh,

That's the one I needed to change. Thanks

Michel

In a aside, I saw this setting does not influence the document history of
Paint. While I could not see the previous documents in Word, I am able to see
the previous documents in Paint.

You're welcome Michel. As the description in TweakUI states:

- - -
The "Maintain document history" check-box enables the tracking of recently-opened documents on the Start menu and of the File menu of many applications. (Note that some applications do not respect this setting.)
- - -

MSPaint is probably one among them.
