TV Wonder Elite with Remote

I bought the TV Wonder Elite thinking it would work well with my
Radeon 9700 Pro card. I discovered that with my Window XP Pro it does
not work with MMC 9.15, the Guide Plus doesn't work properly and I
don't like Power Cinema.

Anyone know how it works with Vista? I would have tried that but AMD
would not let me download the drivers.

I have tried the ATI TV Wonder Elite in Vista (5600) with the included
drivers in Vista and it works great!

I too don't like Power Cinema and I did not install it. I installed the ATI
All-In-Wonder 9600 AGP video card with the ATI TV Wonder Elite and installed
MMC 9.15 suite both works fine. The MMC suite detected the ATI TV Wonder
Elite and the FM tuner, now I have dual TV tuners, which I can use
Multiview, as well as the FM tuner.

Also, weeks ago I installed ATI TV Wonder Elite with PNY GeForce FX5200
128mb AGP video card and installed MMC 915, it also detected the ATI TV
Wonder Elite card . The MMC suite was kinda of buggy but worked. I also have
Windows XP.

I will see what you mean by great. I put a spare drive into my media
machine and I am installed Vista 5723 as a type. :)

Why the do you need the ATI TV Wonder Elite in this setup? I also
wonder why the FM tuner needs its own antenna/cable. Lots of FM
signals on my cable.

I bought a DVD and out it in my media machine and it would only show
video in a window but I would get audio. For some reason all of a
sudden the video worked in full screen mode. So I guess you would
call that buggy. :-(

When it did work with this MMC 9.15 I could not adjust the aspect to
what I want. I have got an expensive monitor and I did not pay to see
black bars. (I would rather see thin figures. :)) MMC 9.14 on this
machine has no problem letting me set the aspect to what I want.

I just finished installing Vista 5723 and the ATI display driver
installed great but as soon as it tried to install MMC, I got the blue
screen of death. Is this what you meant by works great?

I have Vista version 5744 but I won't waste more time. I hope that by
the time Vista is released that ATI/AMD will be ready with drivers
that work.

The ATI MMC suite does not work with vista, it only works with other window
versions, like Windows XP Home/Pro. The ATI MMC suite should NOT be
installed because it will NOT work with vista.

You have go through and use the "vista media center setup". Once you setup
the "media center", you can view TV, play DVD's, Music, ect. in there.

NOTE : Read each step carefully when going thought the media center setup,
if you don't have a Microsoft remote don't activate that step and go on to
the next. Also, the ATI Remote wonder plus will not work with the media
center. Vista already has the driver, which is included for the ATI TV
Wonder Elite, You do not have to install no drivers for the ATI TV Wonder
Elite, it's done for you.

Drivers for the ATI TV Wonder Elite and the ATI Remote wonder plus will be
released in the retail version of Vista or the ATI/AMD website will have a
updated downloads later after the retail release, late Jan 2007.

Strange that they would not test these ATI drivers in the Release
Candidates . There was an easy fix for me, boot back off the old
drive and format the drive with Vista. :)
