Please Help!!! Ati TV Elite Video and Sound delay

I noticed after installing the ATI TV Elite card and driver software
correctly and viewing normal cable TV. There is a 2-3 second delay in the
video and sound.

I have a ATI 9800XT AGP video card with the ATI TV Elite card.

What could cause this?

Is there some kind of timing sync problem with the ATI TV Elite card?

HDTV Wonder has been that way since day one(it's digital audio only ). AIW
went that way when audio was changed to digital. I think your stuck with it
from the tuner. Composite and S-Video can be trimmed to an echo, at least,
by turning off timeshift for the connector. The echo I'm hearing could be a
delay in the cable box. I'm using MMC9.14.
