Every time I try to install my printer driver I get a
message stating that my spooler service is not on. How do
I turn on this service?

I can not get help to do so. I have printer disk as well
as downloaded from net.

Somebody please tell me how this is happening and how do I
repair?

Thanks

From the command prompt, type

net start spooler

(and hit enter)

It should start up automatically everytime you start XP. Check that it is
set to Automatic.... Go into the Control Panel and click on Administrative
Tools... scroll down to Services and click on that line.... Look for Print
Spooler.... doubleclick the line and ensure it is set to Automatic.
