"Turning Off" Internet Access

M

M. Sawalski

Hello! We are upgrading from Windows 98 to Windows XP Pro. We have a dial
out Internet router, but only want two of the 10 people in our office to
have access to the Internet. Any advice on how we do this at the desktop?
I'd like to see if there is a better solution other than taking IE off the
desktop.

Also, we are a TCP/IP LAN with a server, and need TCP/IP to communicate to
several server based apps.

Thanks!

hi ,

use a proxy server (such as winproxy, wingate, janaserver) to restrict
internet access to other users
