on windows xp explorer, when I mouse click on a different folder, I get a
loud click in the speakers.
How do I turn off sound in windows xp explorer?

TIA

Click Start, Control Panel, then click "Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices".
Click Change the Sound Scheme, scroll down to Windows Explorer and you can
pick another sound or none for all the explorer functions.

.
Hello,
I think a way to get rid of it is if your speaker has a
switch you can use the switch to make it loud or not.
Also you can go to: Start, Accesories, Entertainment,
Volume Contorl. In volume control, you can change the
settings to how you want your volume. Hope this works,
if not, than I'm not sure of any other ways except this.
