TS licensing

Jason

I installed a Win2k TS server in application server
mode. I also installed a TS licensing server on another
machine.

The temporary licenses are going to expire in a couple of
weeks;

What do I need? The clients connecting are Win2k and
XP.....do I need a TS server license? Do I need CAL's?

Thanks!

If your clients run W2K and XP Pro, then you don't need to install
TS CALs, but you must activate the TS Licensing Server (which you
already have installed). These clients will receive a free TS CAL
from the Licensing Server.
If you are in a domain environment, the Licensing Server must run
on a Domain Controller. You might have to hardcode the address of
the LS into the registry of the TS:

You also must have a server CAL for every device that connects.
Check the EventLog to see why your clients are not receiving
permanent TS CALs.
