Hi,

Anyone else ever had a problem getting the terminal server client working
over PPTP on windows 2000 pro from behind a firewall when XP pro work ok ?

- XP pro works ok (from all XP machines).
- 2000 does not work from all XP machines.
- XP and 2000 clients behind a firewall.
- When firewall set to allow all traffic from INTERNAL to EXTERNAL 2000
still does not work.
- The PPTP connection has been set to "use default gateway" on and off
- 2000 clinet from outwith firewall is ok (again, i did allow all traffic
from LAN to NET and still had a problem).

Thanks for any tips.
Scott.

Hi,

Cant see anything in this article that would help sorry. As I say it works
ok for XP within firewall and 2000 outwith firewall. 3389 is open from
internal to external source.

I can only speculate the 2000 and XP operate slighly differently when
running TS clinet over PPTP throught a firewall. Just cant figure out what
its is.

Thanks again.
Scott.
