Trying to set up fax

I set up the fax on XP, but I cannot dial out. I think I
set it up to disable call waiting by using *70, but it
isn't working. How do I change the number to dial out?

Try making a normal call with the call waiting disabled. To change the
number used for call waiting go to Control Panel->Phone and modem
options->Dialing rules->Edit.
