Im trying to re-format my PC, but when start thye PC up with the win xp disk, im getting an error.

says INI txtsetup.sif is missing or corupt and I have to exit out of it.

All i want to do is start fresh on this PC, any ideas on how to reformat it?

You must set your system BIOS to boot from the XP install CD. Do that,
stick the CD in the CD drive and reboot.

Hi,

Instead of reformatting, remove the existing installation partition, then
create a new one from the free space. Then format and run setup.

.
Your XP CD disk may be dirty or damaged, so inspect and
clean it. It is also possible to have faulty RAM cause
this as well, so boot to a utility CD or a floppy to run
a diagnostic test on the memory.
