INF file txtsetup.sif status 12800

I have Windows XP and my system stalled while trying to load and said to
install disk. Afer I did, it gave me the following message:

INF file txtsetup.sif is corrupt or missing, status 12800. Setup cannot
continue. Press any key to exit.

Is this a file that can be downloaded? Any ideas for this would be
appreciated. Thanks.

What were you trying to do when this happened? Install a device driver?
Did the message say "to install disk", or "to *insert* install disk"? Did
you put the right disk in the drive? Sounds like you put in a windows
system installation disk, not a program update or driver disk. The file
"txtsetup.sif" is located in the \%windir%\I386 folder. On my system it
is 469KB, and opening in notepad, it is apparently a setup INFormation
file, with lists of umpteen jillion files and coded directory locations,
and other assorted and sundry items. Without more particulars of your
problem, I cannot suggest a solution.

You're welcome.
