At my work I've got adobe acrobat reader on an XP pro machine. Part of what
I do is look at pdfs located on a web server somewhere offsite. Adobe is
installed correctly, and I can use it independent of IE, but every time I
try to view a file by directly clicking on its link, Windows can't find the
acrord (sp?) executable.
Locally, file associations are correct - double clicking on a pdf in My
Computer works. BUT, typing acrord32.exe (or however its spelled) at a run
prompt gets me the same "can't find it" error.
Does Windows/IE keep associations in more than one place? if so, where?
