trying to figure out why a computer rebooted

I have a Windows XP SP2 computer that I use as a fileserver for my
internal network and am trying to figure out how it got turned off (it
got turned off today; in the early am). I looked in the Event viewer
but didn't see anything corresponding to that time. I saw events from
last night and events from when I turned it on, just now, but nothing
from the time when it would have shut down.

Any ideas?
 
Check your fans, all of them.

PSU (often more than one), CPU, video, case.
