Trying to Export XP Folder properties

Is there anyway in Windows XP SP2 to export a registry entry that contains
the properties for various folders so that if I reformatted I could reapply
the registry entry and have folders appear as if I never formatted? The
reason I ask is that I have alot of folders filled with data that are in
"List View". Rather than having every single folder be back in standard
view after a format I'd like to have a way to carry those folder properties
back over to a new reformatted XP OS.

Is this possible??

set you folder for list. then go to tools, folder options, view and click
the tab for apply to all folders

I know about doing that... but I have hundreds of folders with documents and
each folder has it's own properties. I want to export those properties and
not just do a blanket global apply. I want to know if there is a way to
export those properties from the registry.
