troubles with presentation

S

shank

I made a PPT with fades, special effects, etc.
It plays fine pressing F5 on my computer.
I downloaded the PPT viewer from the MS site.
It views OK using the viewer on my computer.

I send it to someone else and when they play it, all the special effects are
gone. Images, fonts, etc. are there, but the no animation. Do I need to do
something special to save the animation?

thanks!

Sounds like you developed your presentation using PPT 2002 or 2003 and sent
it to someone who has PPT 2000 or 97, which will not run the new animations.
They will either need to upgrade or download the 2003 Viewer to view the
animations.

One thing you can do to prevent this problem is to turn off these new
features in your version (Tools, Options, Edit), but that takes all the fun
away from using these new features.
