Windows XP troubles with burning cd and dvd

sirs, i recently had troubles with the burning cd or dvd with StartSmart of Nero 10 and also with StartSmart of Nero 6, the cd and dvd result perfectly masterized with musics, videos or dates, but the program doesn't finalized and i must push manually to expel the disc.
I have this situation using any kind of cd or dvd and with any recording speed. The final message is : masterization without success, but the cd and dvd are perfect. Thanks you very much in advance for your help. Domenico
 
Hi there domenico.

It does sound very much as if your optical drive (DVD/CD burner drive) has failed.

All brands do fail frequently but the good news is they're cheap (around £20.00 in the UK) so it's worth considering a replacement.
