trouble with Windows Mail

I bought a new computer with Windows Vista and installed Windows Mail. My
old computer used XP and Outlook Express. I have not been able to send group
messages, only a few friends can open my word, pdf or jpeg files. A recent
forward that I sent to a friend came over 6 times. I checked it was only
sent once. E-mails come over as pages of numbers and letters. As you can
see I am having trouble. Ready to switch back to Outlook. Can anyone help?

Go to tools>accounts>select your account>properties>advanced tab, are you
set to break apart messages?

Also, tools>options>read tab, is read all in plain text selected?

Messages are set to break apart 80KB

The plain text box is not checked.

Remove the checkmark,

Or

Set the break apart size to a more reasonable 500KB. Some ISP's will not
allow excessively large messages/attachments to be sent.

WM is breaking your sent messages into 80KB chunks, for your recipient to
see them properly, they have to select each part while holding down the Ctrl
key, then on the message menu select Combine & Decode, then open the
resultant attachment.

Let us know if you still have any problem with this?
