Trouble seeing data from old .pst file

I have purchased a new computer and copied my old .pst file onto my new
computer in the same folder as the new .pst file. Windows explorer shows
that the file is large (approx. 250 MB). When I created a new profile and
linked the old .pst file to it, it shows much less data. When I open outlook
and click on the new personal folders' properties it shows the profile as
being linked to the old .pst file, but the folder size is 0 and I am able to
see none of the data. If I go to file, open, open data file, it shows that
this .pst file is small (only 265 KB). Where is the data and how do I get it
imported right?

Never copy an Outlook data file to the default location. It is too easy to
overwrite another data file and corrupt your profile.
