Trouble saving video file back to DV tape

I am having trouble saving my edited videos back onto a DV tape. They are
saving onto the DV tape but they are very chopy, and out of sync. The video
stutters, the sound does not match the video.

On occasion it runs chopy and out of sync in the program while editing. But
sometimes the chopy and out of sync part of the video change from time to
time.

Sometimes it runs fine on the computer screen and sometimes it does not. It
will not save to the DV tape clear. It does run good in an e-mail.

I am using a Pentium 4, 1.50 GHz, 736 MB of RAM, 200 GB of Memory, and
running Windows XP. I connect the DV camera to an IEEE fire-wire cable.

The Movie Maker 2 has always worked well. For some reason this problem has
just arose. I can not figure it out HELP!

Ensure you defrag and use Diskcleanup before using MovieMaker... and that
you are not running other programs during the export. If necessary, close
out Outlook or Outlook Express and disable the antivirus software.... do NOT
surf during the export, just walk away from the PC and let it get on with it
on its own. Don't forget to renable the antivirus after you've finished.
