video quality

I have no trouble importing video file from my canon mini-
dv camcorder using MM2. No trouble making editing and
burn the dvd movie with MyDVD too. But the result play-
back video quality is not as good as the original mini-dv
tape directly play from the canon camcorder to TV. Does
anyone know why? Can I make the movie same picture
quality as the original? Thanks.

Import as DV-AVI.... save as DV-ACI and let the Sonic MyDVD do the
re-encoding.

If you import and save as WMV, you're cutting the resolution in half.
Remember you're going to use a LOT of hard drive space.. approximately 12GB
per every hour of footage.
