Probably because Hotmail access in Outlook 2007 has been disabled unless you
are using a paid account????

After furious head scratching, Dan Edwards asked:

| Why then can I access my hotmail account via the msn portal but not
| via Outlook 2007 - Beta 2.
|
|| Why am I suddenly having trouble connecting to my hotmail account,
|| up until yesterday, it worked fine?
||
|| When trying to synchronize headers, I get the error, "The service is
|| currently unavailable. Try again later. The server responded 'Service
|| Unavailable."
||
|| However... I can get to my hotmail account if I use the IE browser
|| interface and login directly to my hotmail account. So I know the
|| service is working at this time.
||
|| And... I have another hotmail account setup as an email account
|| within Outlook and this hotmail account is working fine.
||
|| I am running MS Office Outlook 2003.

I'm having the same problem as of March 14th although I'm subscribed to
Hotmail Extended Storage and pay a yearly fee!

Thanks Brian
I have applied KB904492. It worked the first time then the problem
re-appeared after a couple of days and the patch stopped working!
