I tried to get my extensions to show up on my file. I went into "advanced"
settings. and then whenever I clicked to open a file it immediately began to
do a search.
I went back into folders and tried to insert the "open" option. I obviously
messed something up because now no folders open.

Error: COMMAND LINE ERROR
INSTALLER COMMAND LINE SWITCHES MUST BE PRECEDED BY A SLASH(/), NOT A
DASH(-); NOT SWITCH IS NECESSARY TO REFER TO A CONFIGURATION FILE. ONLY A
CONFIGURATION FILE CAN BE REFERENCED PER COMMAND LINE.

How do I fix this? I tried a system restore and it said I didn't make any
changes since December (last restore point) and therefore nothing changed.

Help!

Thank you so much. I have my folders back. I'll never go into that setting
to change things again.

Thank you again for your quick response.

You are welcome..

I'll never go into that setting
to change things again.

You can change the file extensions there (Folder Options|File Types) but dont change
the Directory (maybe the name is "File Folder").
