This message violates Microsoft Newsgroup rule F.

This is your 1st warning loronis. 2 more and I will have to ban your
Windows activation key from this newsgroup.

Sorry tony, this idiot was flaming you with bad words. Hope someone can
help you.

You cannot recover files (photos are files) with the system restore.
You can get "file recovery tools" off the internet, but the more you use the computer, the less the
chance of recovering these deleted files.
Files are not actually removed from the HD when you delete them. Windows just identifies the HD
space that they occupied as being available and the computer starts saving new data to those
locations. Once a set of new data is placed in those locations, the old files cannot be recovered.

A program I have used successfully to recover deleted files is REST2514.EXE
You can download it here: http://www.downloadtaxi.com/d/104/ It is free.

Do you mean that you deleted them?

If you can't recover them from the recycle bin, immediately stop using the
machine. If you don't, you decrease the chances of recovering anything.

Get a data recovery tool like R-Tools
http://www.r-tt.com/

There is a demo version that will scan the drive and show you what can be
recovered. It can only recover small files though; to do real recovery you
need to pay.

You should remove the drive from the machine if it is the primary drive, and
host it in another machine. Do not install anything to a drive you're
trying to recover files from. Scan the drive for recoverable data, and
save the list. The scan can take hours, so saving the list helps. Review
the list and if you find what you're seeking, make the call and buy the
working version.

Do not attempt to save anything to the drive you are recovering data from.
Save to a different disk.

Otherwise, you are looking for data recovery businesses, and that will be
hundreds to thousands of dollars.

Actually No.
You moderate nothing, much less this Microsoft newsgroup.
Microsoft employees have no need to post through Roadrunner as you have.
All warnings from you are meaningless and as such should be ignored.

PC Inspector is free and there are 2 versions. 1 will help search for
deleted files and recover them. the other is specially designed for
lost/deleted pics. i downloaded it, but since i didn't have issues with
photos, i uninstalled it.... hope they help.
