Transferring from Video Camera

I have tried through the Movie Maker to transfer my video's to my computer.
I installed the DVC Media but am unable to finish the transfer.

Please help!
 
What happens during the attempted file transfer? I have limited experience
with this, but the cameras I have seen used to do this are simply seen by
Windows as another hard drive and the files are just dropped into a folder
on your computers hard drive.
