Transfering Files from Win 98

I made a backup disk of some files from my old pc which
was running on Win 98. Well that PC needs to be fixed so
while i'm waiting on it I'm using a PC running on Win 2000
Profesional, and my files DO NOT WORK. How do I get my
old files to work and show up on this PC, pls I really
need them!

basically, it doesn't show up, it cannot be viewed, at
all, you can click on it but it shows nothing, it doesn't
work.
