Transfer to New Machine - Outlook Files

I need to copy/transfer all the data files and many of the programs from my
current laptop to a new laptop. No worries regarding Word, Excel, etc files,
but how can I transfer all my Outlook folders and emails so they will be
readily accessible in Outlook on my new machine? I need to be able to use
those emails - how do I ensure that?

Outlook or outlook express?
With express you simply go to options, maintenance, and click on the
Store button.

And the Address book is as simple as just searching for *.wab

How does this help transferring mail to a new PC? I've never used
this but in looking at it, it appears to just change the location
of the .dbx files. As for me, I peridically transfer all my .dbx
files to a folder in a data partition and back them up. They're
easily restorable from that. For me at least, I can't back them up
from OE6 because I don't have Outlook nor any other supported file
types.

It's hard to understand every persons abilities when on newsgroups.
I guess we are assuming you know how to transfer you just don't know
what and where. We are explaining where the files are and how to
locate them. Once you got that much info you "copy" them to a thumb
drive to archive them and then restore them back to the place that the
new system says they should be in.

XP's Search works fine for me. I didn't see anything about where the
files are in this thread, though.

Give a man a fish you feed him for the day. Teach a man to fish you
feed him for life. Or something like that.

Directions are in these threads on how to find those locations. A
thing about Microsoft, they put the folders in different ones for every
install on every machine. In an Identity folder that has a odd folder
like: C:\Documents and Settings\Alan\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{0F46B689-769B-4C42-A2A7-20FC37B365A1}\Microsoft\Outlook
Express.
Its different so I can't give you a folder name. You gotta find it.

I already KNOW how to find it, I was commenting on the thread, NOT
my knowledge but you seem to assume I'm a newbie so sorry to
dissappoint you.

Thus the reason I responded. Sorry if I misread.
