transfer data from xp pro to xp home edition

I have backup and copy of data files from xp pro desktop and am unable to
copy or restore them tp notebook with xp home edition. What am I doing
wrong? Or is this not possible?

Since you didn't tell us what happens when you try - including the exact
text of any error messages is important when posting - my Crystal
Ball(tm) says - try taking ownership of the files.

You haven't mentioned what specific application you used to create the
backup files on the WinXP Pro PC. Do you have the same application
installed on the destination PC?

On the off-chance that you used WinXP Pro's built-in NTBackup, you will
need to install it on the WinXP Home machine, as it's not part of the
default Home configuration.
