Tranferring OE6 messages to Outlook 2007 w/Vista

I bought a new Vista machine, and want to move my stored messages in OE6 on
my old computer to the new one, but into Outlook. Have copied my message
store from old computer, but cannot point the MS mail to it. It seems to
want an empty folder. My plan was to import the messages into Outlook from
MS mail. There must be a better plan - would appreciate any help.

You're going the right direction, instructions for getting OE mail into WM
are here:

When finished, use Windows Mail to export messages to Outlook, then use
Outlook to import address data from Windows Mail; WM does a better job
moving email than Outlook while Outlook does a better job moving contacts
than WM.
