I am changing my wife's primary platform from an XP desktop running OE6 to a
Vista Home Premium laptop. On the laptop, I set her up as a
password-protected user, and myself as an Administrator. I used Windows Easy
Transfer across the home LAN to move her files and settings. WET would only
allow an Administrator to initiate the transfer sequence, so I did it logged
in on the laptop as myself. Now, logged in on the laptop as her, I want to
make her OE6 contents available in Windows Mail. When I opened Windows Mail,
it prompted me to create a new account.
My question is, do I need to create a new account when all of the relevant
OE6 account settings should have been transferred? Or can I just import them?
Also, I saw a post recommending what to do when you have many .dbx files
instead of a single message store. Is Windows Mail really not prepared to
manage either situation?
Thanks.
