Track changes

I received a few Word documents from email, and I opened the files with
"Final with Markup" view, but I wasn't able to see any changes made on the
file (I know there are changes made). Is there a reason why I can't see the
tracked changes? I am using Word 2003.
 
Check the settings under Tools>Options>Track Changes to ensure that
additions are marked in some way and that deletions are not hidden.
