1. improve stability by 500% by using the format C: command and installing

Although this is true now.. you have to understand that vista code has been
rewritten....
the instability you see now is because vista was introduced to a world made
for XP...

however give it a little time, new hardware and a service pack... and you
will see that vista
is better...

the reason for this is not apparent... but it will be apparent once new
applications will start coming out that will be made to take advantage of
what vista has to offer.

As a technonaut, I must ride the wave of change... and see where it will
lead us. If everything fails.. XP will be there... its not going anywhere
:-)

Then it would seem that Vista is better left off computers until this
happens so that most people don't have issues.

OEM XP is being cut off. This happened just after a number of system
builders began offering XP as an option again. Hmmmmmm

OEM Vista has downgrade rights to XP. Dell are even offering to enterprise
customers the option of buying a vista license with an XP image factory
installed.

Buy Vista now, install XP until you're ready to deploy Vista.

Yes Sir!
FYI, I been with vista since it was called longhorn (build 4074)

How does that work exactly. If you don't release it, you can't get the
volumes of feedback to improve it (or the revenue to pay for it).

Right, beta testing doesn't really begin until product release.

Microsoft's Next Generation Operating System will combine the mobile power
of Windows CE with the usability and games-support of Windows ME and the raw
power and crash-less-often-ness of Windows NT
It will be called.... Windows CEMENT.

I agree with you Captain, but ....

Let me get rid of Windows Media Player and all the DRM stuff around it and I
will stay.
I will certainly not go Back to Windows XP, that's for sure - but it might
become something else instead.

That Windos Media Player is sooo useless because it does less than half of
the job compared to the following light weight players :
- Media Player Classic
- VLC
- KM Player
It is great however in limiting the user-possibilities by means of it's DRM
(and that is not what we, honest users, want to pay for).
