Toolbars

I am having a problem with the toolbars. I go to view
toolbars in windows explorer and/or IE and pick the ones
that I want. The next time that I open the WE or IE the
ones that I don't want are back again. How do I make them
stay gone?

Is there more than one user name on your computer? I ran into the same
problem but it only happens when I create a new name and log into it. The
new name has the problem you are having. I can log back into my regular name
and changes are kept.

It appears to be some priority for the user name that defines the parameters
but I haven't found it yet.

I have the same problem, but it exits with nearly all MS
applications: IE, WE, Outlook (and all of its distinct
windows/apps), Office, etc. There is only 1 user defined
on myWin XP-Home system, which does not require me to
login individually. All MS provided XP and application
updates/patches are routinely installed.

I'm using AdAware now and it doesn't fix this.
