Toolbar Height on the taskbar

I have always worked with a double height taskbar. I like the current
applications showing on the top row and the quick launch below it alongside
the address bar.
I have just got a new pc and having resized the taskbar to two rows, the
quick launch bar is two rows high also. The address toolbar takes up a double
height too - which wastes a lot of space.

How do I get the toolbars to show as single height?
Any help would be appreciated

With the taskbar set to a double size and with the Quick Launch and Address toolbars shown, drag the Address Bar to the bottom of the taskbar, this should have customized the taskbar with two rows, one with the Quick Launch toolbar and the open programs (the top row) and another with the Address toolbar (the bottom row). Next, drag the Quick Launch bar to the bottom of the taskbar and you will have what you wanted: Top row with running programs and bottom row with Quick Launch and Address toolbars.

Sorry this didn't seem to do what I wanted but I sorted it out with help from
one of the other posts.

I just needed to grab the address bar on the bottom edge just right of the
dotted handle and when the cursor changed to a cross, I lifted the bottom up
and it became a single height toolbar.
