'too many find public folder dialogs open'

When I try to use the search function in outlook, a dialog box pops up that
says 'too many find public folder dialogs open. You must close them in order
to use advanced find. Do you want to close them now?' Whether I click 'yes'
or 'no,' another box pops up that says 'a folder by that name already
exists.' I had this problem a year or two ago and posted here and was given a
solution that involved finding a list of past searches (identified by number)
and deleting all but one primary one. For some reason I can't find my old
post here when I search by my username or by keywords. Can anyone suggest the
same solution that was given to me before (this time I promise I will save
it!).
