Find in Public Folders

We use a public folder to keep files of policies and procedures. There is a
html table of contents, the rest are Word .doc files (links in the table of
contents open the corresponding P&P document).

We want to implement a search feature that searches for keywords in the
entire text of the document. However, it appears (unless I am missing
something) that the Find function in Outlook only works on the "Outlook"
properties (e.g. subject line, sender, etc...) and cannot search the contents
of a non-Outlook file stored in the folders.

Can anyone tell me how to implement a user-friendly text search for the Word
documents contained in a public folder.

Thanks!

What happens when you open the Word TOC and then use the Find from within
Word?

That works within the document, but the point here is to be able to search
all the files contained in the folder before opening the docs.
