Outlook Advanced Find

Hi everybody,

I have a problem with Outlook: I cannot perform any
Advanced Find on the original Personal Folder.

When trying to use Advanced Find I get the following error
message:

There are too many Find Public Folders dialogs open. You
must close them in order to use the Advanced Find. Do you
want to close them now?
I can choose Yes or No but the result is the same:
I get this second window telling me that "Outlook cannot
perform your search. Outlook cannot display this view. A
folder by this name already exists."

To solve this problem with a workaround solution I have
moved all my mail to new Personal Folders where I can use
this tool.
But I cannot move Contacts, Drafts, Journal etc.., as they
are special folders.
Thus I cannot close or delete this Original Personal
Folders

Who can help me?

Please, if anybody can give me a solution it would be very
appreciated.

Thanks!

Max

Are you using an Exchange server mailbox?

To move the contents of the special folders, set the new personal message
store as the default delivery location (tools, accounts menu) then close
outlook and reopen. Switch the folder to a table view (by category works
well), select all items and drag to the new pst and repeat on the next
folder.

Thank you! I have moved all the contents of my Outlook
original Personal Folders, included the special folders,
to a new Folder created by me as a new service (Tools -
Services - Add new service).
Then I closed this Folder, now empty, where I was not able
to use Advanced Find.

I solved the problem but still I don't know what is the
reason for that.

Do you have any idea?

Regards
Max
