I found this fix:

When doing an advanced search in Outlook, you receive the following message:
'There are too many Find Public Folders dialogs open. You must close them in
order to use the Advance Find. Do you want to close them now?'
When clicking 'Yes' you receive:
'A folder by this name already exists.'
To resolve this issue:
1) Quit and log off of Outlook.
2) Click 'Start'.
3) Click 'Run', and in the 'Open' box type: outlook /cleanfinders

When you run Outlook with the /cleanfinders switch, it removes all saved
searches from the mailbox
