Too Many Cursors In Excel Worksheet

How do I get rid of extra cursors in my Excel worksheet? When I click on one
cell location, I have a cursor; when I click on another cell location, I have
another cursor but the first cursor remains on the work sheet

If by "cursors" you mean selected cells.........

Do you see "Add" down on the Status Bar?

Press F8 twice or SHIFT + F8 once to get out of this mode.
