ToggleKeys in Vista???

I turned on "Toggle Keys" in Control Panel\Ease of Access Center\Make the
keyboard easier to use. It is supposed to cause a beep when you press the
Caps Lock, Num Lock, or Scroll Lock keys. It worked great in XP, but it
doesn't work in Vista. Does anyone know why? Thanks a lot!

Hi, Brink; thank you for the suggestion. However, it just identifies to
check the "Toggle Keys" box in Control Panel\Ease of Access Center\Make the
keyboard easier to use. That's what I already did and cannot get the keys to
cause beeps. I think it's a Registry issue or that Vista has a bug.

Hello out there. There must be a solution to get Toggle Keys working in
Vista. It isn't that it resets to OFF upon rebooting, it doesn't work AT
ALL. I have confirmed that my sound card and speakers are working AND the
Volume is turned on (all the way). Any ideas? Thank you!

Hi Copecabra,

I have tried the 'Toggle Keys' on my system and I have been getting the
beeps without any problems. However, the beeps are not coming from the
speakers (I can mute the speakers and still get the beeps), rather they are
coming from the built-in piezo speaker on the motherboard. If your
motherboard doesn't have such a device then this may explain your problem.
Check your motherboard manual. As I did not try this when I had XP I cannot
say whether or not it worked in the same way, i.e. through the on-board piezo
speaker rather than the main audio speakers.
