Deleting Caps/Num/Scroll-Lock Tray icons

Jack

My HP SlimLine PC has space-robbing icons in the Taskbar Tray that show
whether the Caps Lock, Num Lock or Scroll Lock keys are active. Nothing
happens when you left or right click them.

Control Panel keyboard options doesn't mention these icons. Are they native
to Vista or HP-generated? I don't want to uninstall mulimedia keyboard
support but I can't find answers there either. Does anyone know how purge
these icons from the Tray?

The HP keyboard software generates those notifications.
If you had a Microsoft keyboard and installed IntelliType
software, a notification would appear for a few seconds on
the screen, then disappear.

This turned out to be a lame question. There is an HP app you can uninstall
in Control Panel that specializes in those 3 icons. Just didn't notice it
at first.
