ToggleKeys not making sounds

I have tested all three Accessibility options, togglekeys, filterkeys, and
stickykeys using the shortcut keys to verify these accessibility functions
should work. The appropriate windows pop up showing the function comes on.
However when I turn on ToggleKeys my system does not make the beeps as it
should.

I am using WinXP Pro Ver 2002 SP2 on a Dell Precision 380 workstation.

My pc makes all of the default system sounds like Windows XP Ding.wav, etc.

Any ideas?

The toggle key sounds are not like .wav files. You should check your system
speaker inside the PC Cabinet. See if it is there and set up properly or ask
your hardware vendor for it.

You will only be able to listen Toggle Key sound through your System
Speakers not with the ordinary external speakers.

Hope this information helps you, let us know!

I figured it was something like that. But the .wav files that I hear do come
from the pc cabinet. There is no additional soundcard installed. I wonder
what is producing the wav sounds.

Please check the following link. Have all the information about your PC
configuration and clearly mention that you have to inbuilt speakers in your
system cabinet.

Optional Speakers - Internal chassis speaker; Dell two piece stereo system;
Dell sound bar available for all flat panel displays

Clearly display that your motherboard has an inbuilt system speaker. I don't
know why you can't hear the system sounds. However, you can check the BIOS
settings because some have System Speaker off settings or you can ask your
hardware vendor.

Hope this information helps you, let us know!
