Took all 10 updates from WU (all XP and 7.0 related) and the download and
install went well very smooth. Had to re-boot and had trouble getting back to
IE, -7 attempts with a window opening saying IE had to close due to problems
with Site Advisor. Seems to be working now after the last attempt. And just
one difference from JJ is he received a cumulative update for IE6 (what he
uses) and i received a cumulative update for IE7 (what i use).

I've never had mine come in like that before. So far I got 11, and I think
there was suppose to be 12, so I'll see later if anything else is coming.

I haven't received any and I don't even give a toss!! I didn't know
that everything is considered spyware announcement that merits clogging
up this band width!!

And by the way I only call women for breakfast. Now what is your
contact details? My chat line is similar to this one:

"Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting
to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we
know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we
know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown
unknowns -- the ones we don't know we don't know."

I normally show women Windows Vista on my laptop!

Hmmm, hubby and I both got 11 so hoping that is it for us. I hope someone can
tell you which one is for WD. Usually I read them before downloading, but
seeing I was in a hurry today, I just did it as qucikly as possible. God
bless you for doing all those computers, I'd be crossed eyed. LOL

Maybe Randy, Engel or Bill can tell you which one is for WD. I was just
amazed at how weird they came in, but I guess there is a first for
everything. As I said, I don't use WD right now, as this computer just got
overhauled by a friend, so for now I have AVG, free edition, Spywareblaster
and a firewall. I was using Nortons and it was slowing my machine down
terribly, so I took alot of stuff out, including that, and am trying the AVG.
So far I like it, and am thinking of getting the whole paid set, as in my
opinion it is better then Norton, and cheaper, even the paid set.

Good luck kiddo, hope you get an answer to your WD question....:)

Sorry - 1.1.2101.0 or higher!

Bill Sanderson MVP said:
I just posted some details about WD:

To simplify, go to Help, About, with Windows Defender. Look at the ENGINE
version. If that is 1.1.2010.0 or higher, you are patched.

This was a high risk vulnerability, but one which was responsibly
disclosed--there's no sign of it being used, nor were there sample
exploits available.
