Thanks Ron. I got those 4 too (except I got the update for IE6, not IE7).

No problems here with the updates themselves, though the Windows update
website led me a merry dance for a while, with IE6 hanging up every time I
tried to access it. I went through all the usual performance of disabling
addons and checking the settings, but in the end, just waiting for an hour
solved the problem. I guess it was just heavy loading on the servers, or
something. Them, rather than me, at any rate.

So another Update Tuesday passes. Great. Nearly as much fun as my birthday.

Cheers to everyone.

No, no, Robin, I've misled you. It isn't my birthday. I was just making a
feeble joke about how much fun Update Tuesday is - a sort of 'who needs
birthdays when they can have Update Tuesday instead?' kind of thing.

(Nothing worse than a feeble joke explained, so that it's full feebleness is
brutally exposed, is there?)

OK, Thanks. One question

Update type: Important
Install this update to enable future updates to install successfully on all
editions of Windows Vista. This update may be required BEFORE selected future

I got KB938371 -- which was closely followed by KB937278.
The description of the patch was identical (word-for-word) to KB938371.
Anyone know the difference or why I was pushed the second one also?

Thanks William - that link was helpful.
"KB937287 which is the servicing stack update and KB938371 which is a
multi-component update are both required before installing Windows Vista
SP1."

....is the paragraph more relevant to me, as I have Vista Business, and
these two patches arrived one after the other.
